Am avut incredere în mulţi prieteni care m-au trădat

Dar am avut destui prieteni care mi-au rămas aproape

Încît să continui să am încredere.

Am sădit multe seminţe care s-au pierdut pe drum

Şi păsările s-au hrănit cu ele,

Dar am avut destule rămase in mîna

Încît să continui să semăn.

Am secat cana cu deznădejdi şi durere,

Am trăit multe zile fără cîntece,

Dar am băut destul nectar de la trandafirul vieţii

Încît să vreau să continui să trăiesc.
